Matthew Donaldson

Prolific British photographer and director Matthew Donaldson cannot be pigeonholed.

He shoots fashion, still life, portraits and interiors in a technically pioneering style that grants his work a unique quality and characteristics.

His image-making focuses on everyday objects in a captivating way. Donaldson is best known for his flawlessly staged and realised editorial stories for AnOther, Vogue, Wallpaper, W and Cloakroom as well as campaigns for luxury brands like Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Hermès.

His ‘In Residence’ films, a series devised for Nowness with his partner Claudia Donaldson, have won numerous awards and accolades.

Matthew Donaldson still lives in London and spends most of his time trying to get back there.
